In the land of idioms,
If you can't reach those grapes,
They're sour.
Go eat a piece of cake.
In the land of idioms,
If it's raining cats and dogs,
Don't ever let your cat out of the bag,
Which is easier said than done.
In the land of idioms,
If you get up on the wrong side of the bed,
You're probably going to lose your head,
And be the scapegoat.
In the land of idioms,
Experience is the best teacher,
But if you miss a lesson,
You'll have to pick up your ears.
In the land of idioms,
You can't judge a book by its cover,
Because all good things must come to an end,
And time and tide wait for no man.
If you can't reach those grapes,
They're sour.
Go eat a piece of cake.
In the land of idioms,
If it's raining cats and dogs,
Don't ever let your cat out of the bag,
Which is easier said than done.
In the land of idioms,
If you get up on the wrong side of the bed,
You're probably going to lose your head,
And be the scapegoat.
In the land of idioms,
Experience is the best teacher,
But if you miss a lesson,
You'll have to pick up your ears.
In the land of idioms,
You can't judge a book by its cover,
Because all good things must come to an end,
And time and tide wait for no man.
